MRI Requestor Applications
- Requestors must understand the 'Rules for requesting MRI scans' as detailed within Trust policy document CG24
- Requestors must know the contraindications to MRI scans.
- Requestors must be familiar with the other information forms and leaflets that may be required when requesting MRI scans, (relating to safety and consent).
- Requestors must also watch the Safety Video
- The 'MRI Competency Training Form' must be completed before requests will be accepted.
- A Requestor can make MRI requests on a Clinicians behalf, the request must be undersigned by a Lead Clinician.
- If you are Registered as a Fully Independent Practitioner, then you are able to make Referrals rather than Requests.
- The Competency is valid for 3 years, after this time you must refresh yourself of the Rules and Instructions of requesting, and complete the refresher statement.
MRI Approving Clinicians
Managers / Clinical leads should receive an email with a link to approve new applications, in this you are confirming that the applicant has followed all procedures and is now certified to make requests within the stated department.
